Take Aspen Alley road off M-65 about a mile south of Curran. Stay on Aspen Alley until you see the sign for McKinley then turn west (right) and follow this route through McKinley to River Road which follows the AuSable River until you get to M-33. You won’t be disappointed with this little cruise regardless of the season. If you head north on M-33 you will come to the new motocross track about four miles north of Mio. Continue on to Fairview and turn left to stay on M-33 and enjoy the rolling hills, trilliums, and hard woods all the way to M-32. If you head west on M-32 you will have a grand view of Michigan’s trilliums all the way to gaylord and beyond. If you turn east (right) when you hit M-32 you’ll be heading to Hillman and then Alpena on Thunder Bay. Nice ride.
